Now you can 3D print your own Ford car… sorry, not a full size car… yet. Ford car fans can download one of a selection of Ford cars in a 3D printable STL file format for $4.99 to print at home. For those without a 3D printer, don’t worry, you can order a 3D printed model from Ford.
Ford has partnered with TurboSquid to deliver 3D printed car models to fans. Interestingly, Ford has decided all requested for 3D printed models or 3D printable STL files will be subject to a case by case approval with the following message before all purchases:
“FORD MOTOR COMPANY has specified allowed uses, including editorial and non-commercial use. Other uses may be allowed. Each requested use will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and approved or denied at Ford’s sole discretion. Before purchases are available for download, there will be a period of typically one business day for approval to be determined – any rejected uses will automatically be processed as a return.”
The Ford GT, Limited Edition E3 2015 Forza Motorsport 6, looks very nice 3D printed.
