Aldi’s 3D Printers

On the 17th February 2016 Aldi commenced sales of 3D printers in Australia. The printer, Cocoon Create, is a rebranded Chinese machine which retailed for only $499 with a heated print bed. An incredibly cheap price for a machine that could print with both ABS and PLA. So far all reviews have been favourable and they quickly sold out national wide. So when will they be back in stock? We called to check and unfortunately not for another 6 to 12 months.

Did you purchase one of the Aldi 3D printers? If so, we would love you hear what you have to say about it! What are your views on this machine?

Want an enclosure for your 3D printer?

A new kick starter campaign has commenced by James Nordstrom from New Jersey. James has developed a 2 sized tent which can fit over most 3D printers and prevents users from breathing in any particles or fumes while printing.  A great plus about this product is the potenital for less warping when printing.
